New to Sage Intelligence? This course is designed for you if you are new to Sage Intelligence Reporting and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel. You will get a comprehensive overview of Sage Intelligence and learn the basic functions of the Report Manager module, including organizing reports, how to create reports, how to save formatting changes, how to create union reports, and how to summarize or group data in a Report.

Sage Intelligence Reporting – Intermediate Course

Time to take your reporting to the next level? This course is designed for you if you have a basic working knowledge of the Report Manager and want to fully utilize its capabilities. You will learn how to create dashboards, protect your Excel workbook, use add-Ins, schedule a report, export and import reports, distribute reports and allow report templates to be accessed by multiple people. We will also share our best practice reporting guidelines with you.

Course Pre-requisites

  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Windows
  • A basic working knowledge of the Sage Intelligence Report Manager
  • It is recommend you first complete the Sage Intelligence Beginners Course

This course will provide you with:

  • Understanding the Excel workbook created when running reports
  • Creating a single page dashboard view of your most important information
  • Protecting the Excel report from being edited
  • Hiding or discarding insignificant rows in a report template
  • Copying an Excel formula to new rows

Sage Intelligence Reporting – Advanced Course

Ready to start consolidating data and customizing reports? This course is designed for you if you are familiar with the Report Manager, have a basic understanding of databases and would like to be able to fully customize the way data is being extracted from data sources. You will learn how to create connectivity to a data source, create containers for multiple tables, customize data fields, use variables as fields and connect to multiple companies. We will also share our best practice guidelines for efficient and flexible reporting.

Course Pre-requisites

  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Windows is required.
  • A basic understanding of databases, particularly SQL is helpful.
  • Completion of the Sage Intelligence Reporting Beginners and Intermediate course or “hands on” experience working with the Report Manager is required.

This course will provide you with:

  • An understanding of how to navigate and work with the Connector Module.
  • The steps to create connectivity to a data source.
  • An understanding of how to create connectivity using Access as a Data source.
  • An understanding of how to use Excel as a Data source.
  • An understanding of how to use the Graphical Join Tool to create a Multiple Table container.
  • A demonstration on how to customize expressions using SQL.
  • An introduction to Pass Through Variables and explain different ways of using them.
  • A demonstration on how to use the Connector to manage your containers and expressions.
  • An understanding of how to use the Connector to connect to multiple companies.
  • The best practices to create the most flexible efficient reports.
